Jealousy? Does It Really Work?

If you have been searching for information on how to get your ex back, you have probably seen many ‘relationship experts’  telling you to date someone else so that you can make your ex jealous.

Jealousy Tactics Can Backfire On You

I often feel disappointed whenever I see this kind of advice appearing on the Internet.

Used inappropriately, it can actually spoil your chances of winning your ex back.

Does Jealousy Really Work?

The purpose of jealousy is obviously to make your ex nervous about losing you so that you can win them back easily.

From my observation, I realized that this has worked for some people. However, for most people, applying this tactic is going to backfire on them.

Here is the reason:

Yes, you may say that you are just dating casually. You have no intention to go into a serious relationship with the person you are dating.

However, if your ex knows you are dating someone else, even if it is just a casual date, they may be mistaken that you have already moved on and let go of the relationship. They may conclude that it is time for them to moved on as well.

In fact, a lot of times, whether jealousy work depends on the personality of your ex. If your ex happen to be a more introverted person or someone who is more shy or reserved, using jealousy can easily cause you to lose your ex forever.

There is also another danger. Your ex may see through your tactics and get disgusted with you. This will cause you to lose your ex forever.

So Why Do Some “Relationship Experts” Recommend Using Jealousy?

Well, the purpose of jealousy is to provoke your ex’s ego, especially for a guy.

Once provoked, your ex’s ego will cause him to do whatever it takes to get you back.

The Foundation of a Strong Relationship Is Love and Respect, Not Jealousy and Ego!

Unfortunately, relationship of this nature seldom last.

A strong relationship is based on love and respect for each other.

You can’t build a strong relationship based on the foundation of ego or jealousy. This often result in a second break up. Therefore, even if you do get your ex back by using jealousy, it may not be worth it in the long run. Ultimately, you don’t want to suffer break up pain for the second time.

Know Where to Draw The Line!

With that said, you should still be able to know where to draw the line. I am not asking you to avoid all friends who are of the opposite gender. In fact, it is good to have a healthy relationship with friends of the opposite gender.

In a subtle manner, this will send a message to your ex that you are still a very attractive person that they can’t afford to lose.

However, try to be together in groups. Avoid going on a one to one date with a friend of the opposite gender so as not to create any misunderstandings.

I hope this article has managed to convince you not to use this kind of dangerous tactic.
